An oil change is planned work, so the only hard part is finding you and having room to work. Here an address is already a coordinate: the numbers count blocks out from Temple Square, so 2100 South and 1300 East puts us on your block with no road name involved. The blocks are long, too, which is why a trip to a shop and back costs more of your day than the job itself. We drain the old oil, replace the filter, fit a new drain plug gasket where the car uses a crush washer, and refill to the grade on your cap. While the hood is up we look at the belt, the coolant, the brake fluid and the tire pressures. Cold mornings here are hard on thick oil, so if your manual lists a winter viscosity we use it.
